[DXBase] Logging Old Cards

I found some a few old contacts that I had not put in my log.  I can use for band fills.  After I enter the information, including the old date and do an update, DXbase updates with today's date.  What am I doing wrong?  When I go back and change the date, and then update, it keeps the older correct date.  Seems that I am doing double the work.

Any input will be welcome.  I am sure there must be something easier than what I am doing..
