I noticed that too as I just worked him. Are you using a CD-ROM or some
database info? Buckmaster has the address of AH3D as POB 1945, Jackson, WY.
Included with the info is the LAT/LON for that QTH. I figure that it is
grabbing that info and using that to determine the beam heading.

Subject: [DXBase] AH3D - Prefix Mapping
AH3D is a current DXpedition operated by OH2BH and W3UR from Johnston
Island. OH2BH also operated from Johnston island using the same callsign
in 1996. I have some 1996 AH3D contacts logged in DXBase.
Strangely, even though I have tried mapping the callsign AH3D to KH3,
DXBase thinks that AH3D is in Wyoming and shows a beam heading for
Wyoming. The RAC CD-ROM shows the QSL manager as OH2BH at a PO box in
Wyoming, but not sure why that should affect callsign mapping.
Although this problem is no big deal, I am curious about the cause - and,
of course, I would like to correctly map the callsign.
I can map AH3D to any prefix other than KH3.
What in the heck am I missing here?
With thanks and 73,
Al, K6RIM
