Thanks Dick. That was it. I was going down the wrong path. Followed the
instructions and everything is back working.

Subject: [DXBase] DXBase 2004 - PC problem
2004 has been working great since I installed it. Today I ran into a
problem after installing Microsoft Intellipoint 4.0 Mouse software. I did
not have DXBase running at the time.
I have DXBase on my E: drive. When I went to start DXBase I get the
following:
"E:\DXBase 2004\dxb2004.exe a device attached to the system is not
functioning"
Then the next error message I get is
"MSVCIRT.DLL file is linked to missing export MSVCIRT.DLL_??_U@YAPXI@Z"
Not sure what happened. Do I need to reinstall DXBase? If so, can I install
it over my present one so as not to loose the settings? Or do I need to
figure out what is this error message? I tried uninstalling Intellipoint,
but that doesn't help.
By the way, another thing that happened after installing Intellipoint is
that Norton Cleansweep got corrupted and I had to uninstall it.
Thanks
N2TK, Tony
