[DXBase] Label Lament

I'm  having a frustrating time getting a my first batch of labels to come 
out satisfactorily.

I already see that the sort by call sign within prefix question has been 
raised - it would be nice.

I have a lot of catching up to do  and have a large number of 
band/country/mode new ones. If I ask for autodetect it selects multiple 
"identical" (same band/mode) QSO's with the same station. Some of these 
QSOs are from several contests so I get say 9 QSO records  for where only 3 
are unique ( 2 x 20M Phone, 3 x 10M RTTY, 4 x 15M Phone all for the same 
Call sign) any way to have only 3 records produced??

I have QSO manager information for some stations  - how do I get DXBase to 
"take" it and use it??
