[DXBase] File export to Excel...

Hello,
Per the DXbase archive the suggested method to export the DB to Excel is via 
HTML format.  For my database (approx. 20 MB) it creates a very large HTML 
file and for my system (450 MHz Pentium II with 128MB RAM) it takes forever 
to export (plus Excel chokes).  Are there other methods to create the XLS 
file that create smaller more manageable files from User Lists?  Using the 
export function in the Standard Reports creates XLS files of very manageable 
size and does so quickly.
