[DXBase] Disk space usage

Greetings to All.

I am new to DXBase and am still figuring where all the options are.

I have two separate logs for the two call signs I've had. Eventually, I'll 
merge the logs.  My question comes from the fact that the shorter log 
(about 250 qso's) uses 7.5 mb of disk space while the log with just over 
1100 contacts uses only 4 mb.  I know that the difference has to do with 
the way that the Jet Engine and Access handle space within the .mdb 
database.  How does DXBase compress a .mdb database?  Can someone point me 
to the correct clickable on the menus and buttons.  I am reluctant to use 
MS Access to compact the database because it may corrupt something that 
DXBase needs.
