Hello,
As many participants of this forum already know, a new FT2 emission has been
added to the FT8 and FT4 emissions.
More information here:
https://www.dxzone.com/ft2-new-ultra-fast-digital-mode-tested-on-hf/
In connection with this, the author of WSJT_X has made available FT2
operation using the WSJT-X_v3.1.0 program.
https://www.dxzone.com/ft2-new-ultra-fast-digital-mode-tested-on-hf/
The adif file generated from WSJT-X for FT2 transmission has similar names
as for FT4.
That is, FT4: mode:4>MFSK <submode:3>FT4 and FT2: <mode:4>MFSK
<submode:3>FT2
I am currently using DX4WIN v. 9.0.9.1259.
When importing from an .adi QSO file on FT4, everything is correct.
MFSK is imported into the Mode field and FT4 is imported into the SubMode
field.
When importing QSOs to FT2, only MFSK is imported to the Mode field, while
the SubMode field is empty,
because FT2 transmission has not occurred so far and there is no description
of it in Dx4Win.
The SubMode description appears in the Notes for this QSO:
Import:{Submode=FT2} field, but this is a problem
when exporting to LoTW, because when sending adif to LOTW, there must be an
FT2 description.
Therefore, I kindly ask Paul KK4HD or the person responsible for Dx4Win to
add FT2 to the SubMode field.
Thank you very much on behalf of all Dx4Win users working with the new FT2
transmission.
Greetings from Poland.
