[Dx4win] Membership lists - how to control them properly !

I now get the impression that there was no need for me to download the FOC members callsign file from the FOC web site and put it into DX4WIN. I think we can just request an update in DX4WIN help and tick the box to upload the various members lists box and receive the FOC members list from there? Is that FOC members list kept up to date I wonder?

Hello Dave,
The "O" is for OQRS.
There shouldn't be any problem having all the member data in one file. It's easy enough to reload the list(s) if anything goes wrong.

Subject: [Dx4win] Membership lists - how to control them properly !
Hi All,
I thought I'd got this working last year; but either forgot, or some other factors have come to play. However; this may help others, although I still have questions too.
So, I looks at this following a how to question, on the FOC reflector; by G3SWH.
I had some problems importing an FOC list, largely since the file has to contain call signs only.
When I'd finally cracked this; I cleared the membership list (right click in the DX Spots window), and added the FOC list in, all fine.
I also had an old CWops list too, and added this in the same way. By the way, if you show the column "Memb" in your logbook window, you will see this shown:
So far, all is good.
Now, if you went into the Help Menu; and check for updates; you will see that there is a file waiting, called Various Membership lists for packet. Usually this is checked with any other updated data files by that way.
If you install this file , it overwrites your preferred list, and seems to have data for "ELO"; E is eQSL, L is LOTW, not sure what O is.
This seems dangerous to me; it seems to be replacing the membership file with a bundled predeterimined one ! Not sure if anyone could comment on this ?
By the way. If you reloaded your FOC and CW ops files; you will see ELOFC in the "memb" window, so contrary to the Help menu, is not limited to just 4 lists
Last question. In the Membership list from the DXspots window, does anyone know how to see all membership lists in use ? I can't get the view that is shown in the Help menu; mine is blank. I hope the images show to illustrate these points
