Luc,

The group feature is very powerful and simple to use, so I think it will be worth your time learning how to set up and use groups.

Hi David.

Thanks for your answer, very detailed by the way.

What I tried to do was create two .ini files, one for each QTH, and load the corresponding file for each QTH, and with the corresponding Grid and DME data, but it didn't work as I expected.

I'll try to do what you say about groups, although I thought there would be an easier way to do it.

David, all the best.

Luc,

There is a way to do this, but it is somewhat complicated and requires
knowledge in how to use some of the advanced user features. Here is a
summary as to how I do it:

1. Create a group for each QTH. Go to Filter tab, Selection. It takes
some time to learn how to create and save the groups. Check the help files
or possibly Jim's website AD1C to learn how.

2. Import contacts from each QTH and select the correct group or change
existing QSOs via the Multiple QSO operation under the QSO tab. This is
tricky but can be done.

3. Once you have all QSOs assigned to the correct groups, you can now print
labels. Here is how I do it:

        a. Go to File, Preferences, Rep/Lab tab at the bottom.

        b. Change the Greeting line to add your grid and Spanish DME for
group1. Click on File, Save Changes to exit.
        c. Go to filter, selection to select group1

        d. Click on QSLs, Print QSL labels. Be sure you select the correct
label. I have created a custom label that includes the greeting line at the
bottom of the label.

        e. Print your labels.

You can repeat the process for group 2.

Note that under filter, you can edit the group names. For example, you can
name group 1 to the Home. Group 2 something else.

You might also be able to create a custom label for each group and possibly
print the Grid and DME directly at the bottom of the label, but I have not
tried that. You would have one custom label for group 1 and a different
custom label for group 2. If you can figure out how to create custom labels
for each group, you would not have to change the greeting line manually for
each group (step 3b above).

I hope this helps. These functions are actually fairly simple once you gain
some experience using them.

Buena suerte!

Dave, N4QS

Hello. I operate from two QTH and I want to prepare QSL showing from which
QTH was made each QSO. Is there a procedure to cofigurate labels to show
the DME (Spanish Munnicipalities Diplome) reference and the square grid for
each QTH? Thanks for any idea.
