I agree. You can set up filters to download only a portion of the log.
Example only your IOTA contacts or contacts to a certain country or
contest only. Or you will have a huge adif file of all your QSO's with
no filters..

from the main menu, File>Import/Export>ADIF should be the top choice
to use. Just export your current log (which is the .DXL you are using
at the
time) to ADIF using this process.
