[Dx4win] Telnet problem

Could be any of several things. Have you tried a DIFFERENT DXCluster site?
The one I used to go to got shut down....and after a couple of weeks of the
same symptoms, I merely tried a different Cluster and had no issues. In
fact, from time to time....mine isn't available now....and of course, I get
that exact same error sequence/message. I just go to  a different site and
bingo....good to go. The next day, I'll try my original site, and most of
the time...it's back up.

If you were a technical guy in networking (I'm a Network Engineer with over
20 years of experience), I'd tell you to ping the site you're trying to hit
and see if it's alive.................
