Now that Guy mentions it, I believe I am using the USB port on the
back of my IC-7610 for WSJT-X, and the microKEYER for DX4WIN and Write
Log (the latter two of which I also can use simultaneously). The
radio's USB interface are a requirement for using Win4ICOM:

I have played around with this but my trial of the software ran out.
It might also provide a second COM Port for radio control.
Finally, I used LP-Pan when I had my YAESU FTDX-5000 as my primary
radio. They recommend a particular port splitter to use with it.
That's another option, and I don't believe that port splitter is
specific to the LP-Pan software.
