[Dx4win] DX4WIN + WSJT-X COM Port Control

I run DX4WIN and WSJT-X side by side on the screen.
However, like you I have never found a way to have both programs get access to the transceiver (CAT Control) at the same time. Yes, I tried the various port sharing and splitting programs with the same results you did.
Therefore, I operate in a compromise. With both programs side by side, I use the Stop Radio command in DX4WIN to stop the program from accessing the port (CAT control). DX4WIN and all its other functions are still on the screen, it just isn't accessing the rig.
I then use WSJT-X to the full extent with its access to the port and CAT Control.
If I want to go on CW or other modes using DX4WIN, I must close WSJT-X completely and then Start Radio on DX4WIN. Unfortunately, there is no similar Stop Radio command in WSJT-X, so I must close the program completely.
Yes, it is a compromise but it works for me.

Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN + WSJT-X COM Port Control
I have used DX4WIN for many years. I use WSJT-X for FT8.
I want both programs to have simultaneous full access to my transceiver through the one COM port that is used for data transfer and control of the transceiver.
I have tried many port sharing and port splitting software programs without success. The two programs work for a few minutes, but when one of the programs polls the port, the other program loses connection to the port.
Has anyone found a way to do what I want to accomplish?
I have been advised that Ham Radio Deluxe has the desired capability, but I don't want to switch from DX4WIN to HRD.
Tnx & 73,
Mark, K6FG
