About 4 or 5 times now have received the FATAL ERROR message with the note.
country.dat file missing when attempting to access DX4WIN.
Until the other day, the remedy was simple. Copy and paste the country.dat
file to the SAVE folder and all was good.
Now, after following the steps mentioned above, manually entered 4 QSOS .
All new band countries recently worked on 6 meters - all FT8. ALL were
checked as confirmed.
All 4 qsos populate to the DX4WIN logbook.
However, only 2 countries populate to the DXCC listing worked.
FILE>SAVE>W9RN> REPORT GENERATOR (Award DXCC- Report listing - award : band
- mode- mixed all checked. Modes (all) bands - 6 meters - enter OK).
Scrolling down , only 2 of the countries are listed. (populate)
Tried deleting the non-listed (non populated) qsos and reentering without
success.
Tried copying and pasting to SAVE folder another country.dat file - no
success.
Running DX4WIN 9.09.1259 - WINDOWS 10.
Beginning to wonder if a windows 10 update corrupted a file (s). or is it
something else?
Greatly appreciate any advice to remedy.
