Jim
Thanks for the reply to this question and to everyone that contributed.
I realise that ALT+F3 will update the external data (QRZ). The original post from Arthur Caswell was asking if it is possible to update this automatically without hitting Alt+F3 (I think). It seems that this is not possible. I have tried what you suggest Jim but cannot find the automatic update box to check. Which window is this on?
I have entered a call sign in the real time box on the QSO window and then pressed Alt+F3 and the QRZ window initiates with the call sign details of the station entered. Where is the box to check for automatic update?

But the very first time you do this (ever), right-click on the
Callsign/Mgr Lookup (F3) window and make sure that the Automatic Update
(at the bottom) is checked. This allows the window to update as you
scroll through your log, as well as update when you are entering a new
QSO. Once you check this setting, you'll never have to do it again.

This is no automatic way to get that data into the logbook, however.
You must click on the Update QSO button to do that.
