Mike, Jim , David and others. What a great group and thanks for all the input.
Just FYI the ADI file copied to WSJT log seems to have worked so things are back
To normal. Around 2K qso restored to wsjt with no problems.

Or, if you are using windiz anyway, you could look in the recycle bin and try to restore the file.

Hello Bob,

Try it and see.  If your wsjt log is already gone, you have nothing to lose.
Filter <F8> for FT8 QSOs.  Do a Count Filter to see if you have about the
right number of QSOs.  File > Import/Export > ADIF (first one on the list) >
Export.  Call it wsjtx_log.adi and put it in the
(username)\AppData\Local\WSJT-X directory.  Fire up WSJT-X and see if
everything looks right.  I presume you have already tried the "normal" file
recover things; looking in the recycle bin and things like that?  GL.

I made a boo boo and deleted my wsjt-x log which contained roughly 2,000
qso.
I am trying to rebuild it and am wondering if I can merely do a search for
FT8 in dx4win; create an ADIF log then copy and paste it to the wsjt-x log?
Will that work? and if not are there any suggestions ?
Many thanks
Bob, K5BG
