[Dx4win] dx4win log to WSJT-X

Normally I'd recommend making a backup of the wsjt-x log but if it's been
wiped, there's not going to be anything to back up.
I'd give what you're suggesting a try. The worst thing that would happen is
if the file format is incompatible, you'd likely get an error when starting
wsjt-x. If that happens, just delete the file.
And I'll put in the obligatory reminder that backing up your computer is
always a good idea.
(Shameless plug coming)
I've personally used Backblaze for years
(https://www.backblaze.com/cloud-backup.html) and it's saved me more than a
few times. One of the best parts: You just install it and it does it's
thing. You don't need to run anything, it doesn't completely clobber your
system when it runs like some others, and restoring is easy. You can get a
30 day free trial. If you decide to sign up, you can use this link
https://secure.backblaze.com/r/00lxyo (I think you can use that for the
trial as well) and we both get an extra month free.
If you've got more questions about backups, please contact me off-list.

Subject: [Dx4win] dx4win log to WSJT-X
I made a boo boo and deleted my wsjt-x log which contained roughly 2,000
qso.
I am trying to rebuild it and am wondering if I can merely do a search for
FT8 in dx4win; create an ADIF log then copy and paste it to the wsjt-x log?
Will that work? and if not are there any suggestions ?
Many thanks
Bob, K5BG
