Dick,
There are a couple ways that I adjust the frequency range to keep the red arrow visible. First, you can click on the checkmark on the bottom. That re-centers the bandmap and makes the whole band visible. You can also hit the plus or minus signs at the bottom until you see the red arrow again. But if you tune the radio off the top or bottom of the scale, my version will automatically move the scale up or down to follow the red arrow.

Aha. That’s exactly what mine does. However I have a pretty large window open for the bandmap, so I rarely “loose” the red arrow.

Yes it is checked for follow Radio,
The red arrow moves, but disappears from the map, as the map is not moving anywhere. I have to use the slider to see the red arrow again. Been that wat since version 8.
I did ask questions then, but never got an answer, or any help.
I have been a DX4WIN user from the start, but this is the only thing that never worked for me.

Dick,
Do you have Follow Radio checked at the bottom of the DX4WIN bandmap? You may have to open the bandmap window all the way from top to bottom so that you can see the bottom section. When you do that, it should follow your K3. The red arrow moves up and down as you tune and it automatically updates with new spot info when your radio changes to a different band.

Pity Still having problems with the band map not following the radio. This was the case in version 8, and still is not working in version 9. The radio is a elecraft K3, I own it since 2008 and never operated with any of the band maps in DX4WIN. It does work with Wintest however. DX4WIN reads the radio ok. The top of the band map shows the frequency, but the map is not moving as I turn the VFO. Well some people never turn the VFO anyway, they stick to the FT8/ FT4 QRGs. 😊

When doing Help | Check for Updates you will find a new version for the executable and other files.
This is the change log:
When editing a QSO, do not reset county if state changed and county is still valid
Error message when country database cannot be found
Added more satellites
Made Winkey interface compatible with newer versions
Redid IOTA checking; changes made are applied to the QSO. Values that were replaced are shown in the QSO Notes
Added MFSK sub-modes FT4 and JS8
During import, check for a valid island code
Multiple QSO operations will now remove multiple import messages
Custom award check did not mark QSO as changed when award was changed; Report the count of the number of awards that changed
Changed time tolerance test so a window of 2 seconds allows QSOs 2 seconds apart
