[Dx4win] Upgrading issue

I am doing a trial of V9 upgrading from V7.

Most has gone OK.

The first issue I have found is that all my names that were in "Notes 
for this call" have come out in V9 as gibberish

eg
V7   Walid
V9   dFOE1XFB

V7   Robert
V9   rtoIZS/MW0VOWberDBethFZS1AFS

Can I do a transfer in a different way so that I have not lost all my 
names from a significant number of my QSOs?
