Mark,
I have been using LP-Bridge to make all of the radio control stuff play
nice with my Yaesu for quite a while. Unfortunately it doesn't list Icom
as being supported, so probably not any help for you. If DX4WIN would
work with OmniRig, we would have another solution.
Another alternative for you would be to look into some of the com port
splitting software to allow two different programs access to one com port.
For others who have Yaesu, Kenwood, Elecraft:
It was a little frustrating to get LP-Bridge and all of the programs to
play together on my Yaesu FT-950, but in the end I have DX4WIN, WSJT-X,
N1MM, and HDSDR all playing together getting CAT info and controlling
the rig.
Now all of my programs know where the rig is parked and can control it.

I leave LP-Bridge running all of the time. When operating, I turn on the
rig and start the needed programs.
