Bud, that was so easy.  THANK YOU!  I knew there had to be some was to turn that feature off, but until I got your note I had been unable to find it.

Hi Rusty,
Go to File, Preferences, select the QSO tab and in the box labeled Options, uncheck the box for Check Calendar at Startup.

Don't forget to select File, Save changes and Exit.

I've just upgraded to Version 9 and now when I open the program a window entitled "Events Calendar" automatically opens.  This window did not appear in my older version, and I would like to turn it off in this version.  Is there a way to do so?
