[Dx4win] Help

Iam trying to put my Lic into a new copy of Dx4win 805, I moved the lic out of the old program on to the desk top and then downloaded a new Dx4win 805 and moved the lic from the desk top into the program. when trying to bring up the new 805 it says it can't find any lic.and of course can't save any contacts.... Tried putting the lic in the save folder and the first folder that cmes up.... no luck.. 
  Not very good at running around inside my computer..
  Any help out there as where to install it exactly..    
 Or maybe new lic. required .???/
