[Dx4win] Error in DXCC report - version 8.05

Thanks to both Mike and Jerry for the fine explanation. I am sure that both Leif and I can live with that.

However, in Denmark Danish DX Club has this special list – see http://ddxg.dk/dxbandcountry_september2016.htm

The text is in Danish but I will explain a little bit:

The numbers below each band are worked and in () confirmed DXCCs. We do not use the DXCC rules about the CW date, so Leif was a little but surprised when he lost some DXCCs in CW mode when he upgraded to version 8.05. Leif wanted to upgrade to version 8, because he want register the 60 M QSOs in DX4WIN instead of paper log.

I can’t see a workaround to count the DXCCs worked in CW mode no matter the QSO date with DX4WIN version 8. I guess that Leif has to calculate the CW QSOs in version 5 – or as I have suggested – work the missing CW QSOs again.

I think Mike gave an excellent explanation. The following comes from the DXCC Rules on the ARRL website:

c) CW: Contacts must be made using CW since January 1, 1975. Confirmations for cross-mode contacts for this award must be dated September 30, 1981, or earlier. CW contacts dated December 31, 1974, or before, are credited as Mixed mode.

Hello Joe,

CW QSOs before 1975 DO count for mixed and single band DXCC awards, so your
DX4WIN report is correct. The award for CW only DXCC started on 1 January
1975, so only QSOs made after that date count.

The CW DXCC award does not count individual bands. It only counts the
number of countries (entities) starting on 1 Jan 1975 and it doesn't matter
what band, or how many bands you have.

I hoe this makes sense to you, and to Leif. If not, perhaps someone else
can explain it differently.

Hi

I earlier got the information that CW QSOs before 1 January 1975 do not
count for DXCC. Since that I have tried to help my friend OZ1LO to find out,
whatever there is an error in the DXCC report in DX4WIN version 8.05.

I have created a log with 2 QSOs on 80 M. Both QSOs are with CW mode and one
QSO is BEFORE 1 January 1975 and one AFTER.

When I run the DXCC report (Report -> DXCC) I get this result:

MIXED 2
CW 1
80 M 2

Even when I run the DXCC report with these settings:

DXCC summary or listing
Mode = CW
Band = 80M

I still get:

MIXED 2
CW 1
80 M 2

Why do I not only get the CW DXCC awarded QSOs here?

Pictures of the report settings and result can be found at
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2651703/dx4win-oz1lo.pdf

How do I (or OZ1LO) get a report that ONLY show the valid CW DXCCs on each
bands? Or is that not possible?
