[Dx4win] Error saving log in Windows 8

Hello.  A friend of mine has installed DX4WIN 8.05 in a laptop (in 
c:\dx4w805) running Windows 8.  Now, each time he tries to save the log an 
error message appears:  "An exception occurred creating directory" (or 
somewhat similar).  However, the log is saved anyway.  This error message 
appears also when typing Alt-S in the log window, and every time the 
software tries to auto-save the log (every 2 minutes).

Questions:  Has anybody experimented this behaviour?  Is there a cure?
