Thanks Larry, I didn't know the reflector wouldn't except the short snipping
clip... But, that's OK, I realized after I sent the last email that I had
never installed V6.04 and was still clicking on the V6.02 icon to execute
updater; no wonder I was always getting those execution errors after the
updater did the updates....
Anyway, after I installed V6.04 I uninstalled it and deleted the icon I was
clicking on and installed the new V7.01.... All ran just fine!
Thank you to all who helped me!!
Regards, Dennis, k0eoo

Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Data Updater v. 7.01 released
I've released DX4WIN Data Updater v. 7.01. The release notes are below.
I recommend that if you have installed a previous version, that you
uninstall it, from the Windows Control Panel (Programs and Features).
This will not remove your custom settings. Then install the latest
version of the program:
http://dx4win.ad1c.us/updater/#history
There have been extensive changes, mostly in the area of error
checking. If you have any problems during the installation, or with
running the program itself, please let me know ASAP.
Here are the release notes:
7.01 - 19 March 2015
* Bug fix: ignore corrupt DX4WUPD.INI (settings) file
* Bug fix: use all possible methods for checking if DX4WIN is running
* Bug fix: last line in DX4WIN.TCP (DX cluster nodes) wasn't being
added. Apologies to ZS6RO
* Bug fix: direct all internal errors to a pop-up error message window
* Feature: real Windows installation program
* Feature: Update button is disabled until the user chooses at
least one data file to update
* Other: -help and -version options work on the command line (again)
* Other: BIG code cleanup (Perl Best Practices, etc.)
There is still at least one user out there who is having problems. I'm
hoping that this new version will bring those problems into the light,
so they can be solved.
