His name is Pat Lurcock.  I’m not sure if his call is even current - may be out of date, and I don’t believe he operates any CW either.  I have seen lots of spots for him, and for VP8CIN, but neither of them are actually operational.

Bob, VP8CID does not show up in QRZ.  Do you have a name and QTH for him?

Hello,

 

VP8CID has not been operational recently.  He is in New Zealand on holiday, so anyone who has worked VP8CID recently has worked someone pirating that call.  He does live and work in South Georgia, but he is not an active amateur operator at all.

Hello all,

I worked a VP8CID , Falkland Is. a few weeks ago and it got logged as VP8/G, 
South Georgia?  I changed it to VP8 and saved but after the last updater 
update it changed back to VP8/G.  I checked with clublog and it says it is 
not South Georgia.  I'm running V8.05
