Click on the Properties for the shortcut that starts DX4WIN.  If the
Target field says something like this:

    E:\dx4w805\dx4win.exe

Make sure the "Start in:" field is something like this:

    E:\dx4w805

In other words, the same as Target, but without \dx4win.exe

2. I want to convert a dx4win logfile containing only my IOTA QSOs to
upload to IOTA site. How do I export this file as adif file?

First, F8, then type '*' into the IOTA field.  This will filter your
log to those QSOs that have IOTA field filled in.

Next, File | Import/Export, then in the Import/export window that
comes up, File | Export

ADIF should be at the top of the list, and selected.  When you click
on Save, DX4WIN will ask if you want to use the existing filter.
Answer YES.

All of #2 is explained in the help file (filtering, and
import/export).  Once you fix #1, you should be able to find it.
