I can get mmtty running I just can not get the FT-991 to XMIT RTTY
using TX of MMTTY.

The only way I can get the FT-991 to XMIT RTTY is to use HRD and set the
RADIO mode to DATA
and then I CAN XMIT RTTY.

The FT-991 options has got to be the problem. Until I figure it out or
someone else does
the options to key the rig from mmtty......very frustrated...been trying
everything
for hours now over the past few days.

FT-991 using the USB port has a built in SOUND card. That's why HRD works.

Thanks for the replies though I'll just plug alone and use your guys
input maybe something will
fall into place.
