[Dx4win] Help wanted to import all my logs into new computer

I have DX4WIN on two separate PC's. When I want to update my log on the
second PC I just copy my DXL file and paste it into the seconds PC DX4WIN
SAVE folder.

But I have always wondered. When I do a SAVE besides the DXL file the CTY
and CFG files also show the date/time of my most recent SAVE. I wonder if I
should also cut and paste the updated CTY file along with the DXL file. I
don't want to move the CFG file because the second PC uses a larger screen
and so my fonts are a little larger.

You should be ok just cutting and pasting the DXL files into the new
location Glyn. 

I recently did this with my Win 8 PC (I used AD1C's notes to take the
country files etc too; like a version update )

Hello fellow DX4Win`ers  Greetings from Wales GW,

 

I have just purchased a new desktop PC  running Windows 7 Pro. What I would
like to do is import all my log files from the old PC  and there are a lot
from various Holiday QTH  locations. GM0ANA, GD0ANA, GD0ANA, GI0ANA,
EI/GW0ANA etc. 

 

I have a copy of the original Save file on a Pen Memory Stick.

 

What is the best way to move them into the new save file and still keep all
the individual logs so I can  still check incoming late QSL`s against these
logs.

 

Should I just cut and paste the old  file " Save on old PC"  and just  paste
into the new PC  there by replacing  the existing Save file? Or is this
going to create trouble.

 

Your advice and help much appreciated.
