Ken, first tab of Preferences, make sure your latitude and longitude is correct.
Remember, DX4WIN starts with the target coordinates of the DXCC
entity. Some entities are very large. The "center" of the USA is
somewhere in south-central Virginia I think. DX4WIN will use the
STATE, GRID and/or IOTA fields to give more exact bearing/distance.
Give me an example of a callsign you think is not what you expect,
from your QTH. Where do you look for this information in QRZ.COM?
Don't try it *to* your own QTH, you may be surprised by the results.
