Are you using any other "SKINS" other than the standard windows? My
experience is that when I tried to use different SKINS configurations my
windows would not return to where I had set them during the last use of
DX4WIN. When I returned to the standard setting all was back to normal.

Max,
Assuming the box is set to keep windows in their original position, there is
not much else I can think off to try. Sorry to say, but it "works for me"
under Windows 8.1.
Check if there are updates for your video driver.
