Hi Terry,

The only difference compared to your settings is
In my setup DTR = High
And the following doesn´t matter for the driver
Poll rate I reduced to 500 and max tries is 3

Sir,

I recently purchased an FTDX 5000 MP and I have not been able to get the
radio to communicate with DX4WIN 8.05. The FTDX 5000 MP replaced my old FT
1000 MP Mark V that worked normally with 8.05 through an RT Systems USB - to
-Serial Port Converter. The FTDX 5000 MP communicates with the Yaesu
PCC-5000 program and if I change the Baud Rate the radio automatically
switches the Baud Rate and responds to all commands and the computer display
matches the front panel readings and setting exactly so I don't think there
is anything wrong with either the serial connection in my computer or the
CAT Interface in the FTDX 5000 MP. The problem I have is with DX4WIN 8.05.
When I select PREFERENCES/RADIO/RADIO 2 and select the Yaesu 5000 Rig File
the following information is loaded. ADDRESS = 00, Baud Rate = 38400 and the
DEFULT Boxes under the ADDRESS and Baud RATE are checked. NOTES for RADIO
indicates V1.1 ON4AOI, COM PORT = COM 4, POLL RATE = 5000, MAX TRIES = 6 and
the DTR HIGH and RTS HIGH are both unchecked. When I select the FT DX 5000
MP in DX4WIN 8.05 the CAT LED under the On/OFF Switch on the radio flashes
green three or four times and then I get a Radio Interface has "Timed Out"
Box. COM 4 matches the COM Port Selected in PCC-5000.

I would greatly appreciate any advice you have that will help me to get the
interface working properly. Is there any written material that could help me
diagnose and correct problems with the RADIO Interfaces in the future?
