I'm running 8.1. Hated the apps style start page, downloaded a Stardock program and put me back to the Win 7 style start menu.  30 day free trial then one time $5. Now I'm very happy camper. Google Stardock and check it out.Mike, WM5DX.

Ron,

I've been running DX4WIN on my main ham computer, a new Dell machine
running Windows 8,  since last spring. I've had no problems with DX4WIN.
I run a lot of ham programs on this Win8 computer without any trouble.

My only problem was adjusting to Windows 8. I couldn't adjust to the
loss of the 'start menu'. So I finally found a good add on program that
gave me the "start menu" function and look back. Not exactly line
windows XP or 7, but close enough.
