Hi Bill,
There are several screens you have to go through to get this right
("right" being a matter of opinion).
First, File | Awards. The DXCC tab should be up. Make sure that 30m
is checked in the "Valid bands" box. If you do not care about a
separate 30m DXCC award, you can leave 30m unchecked in the "Award
bands" box.
Then in File | Preferences. On the Station tab, make sure that 30m is
checked under Bands. I am not 100% sure this is necessary, but I'm
trying to mirror how I have have 80 meters set up (a band for which I
have no antenna).
Finally, on the Packet3 tab, make sure that 30m is *unchecked*.
The effect of all this is that 30m spots will be still sent to the DX
spots window, but they will be grayed out. Not gone completely, but
it should make them easier to not see.
NOTE that if something is spotted on 30 meters that is an all-time new
country, or an all-time new mode, you will NOT get any alerts about
this.
