You might want to consider the device driver. In my case the device driver
for the IC-7410 works under W7 32-bit, but won't work under W7 64-bit. No
mention of that on Icom's web site. Generally there are stricter
requirements for the 64 bit device driver programmers over the 32 bit
version.

You'll want to install your ham programs under their own directory
(something like c:\ham programs\) so that you don't run into issues with
Win 7 not allowing data to be written to the standard program
directories, otherwise things work fine.
