As others said, yes should work. Make sure the small switch on the back of
the TS-850 is on manual keying (not using internal keyer). Since you are
using basically 2 external keyers (on/off keying of the line), either keying
will key the radio.

Using DX4WIN, is it possible to operate CW from a keyboard with a serial
port connection between the computer and the transceiver and then parallel
the output of a keyer (Heathkit uMatic Keyer) with the cable from the serial
port in the plug that goes into the CW jack on a Kenwood TS--850?
What I am trying to accomplish is to be able to operate CW from a keyboard
OR a paddle/keyer without having to unplug one and plug in the other.
