[Dx4win] Duplicates

There might be a workaround for keeping your QSOs with QSL data. Follow
Jim's steps below. After you rename your current log and put it in a safe
place, then open that log, click on Filter and for the Confim field select
Y. This will select all QSOs that have been confirmed via a card. Export
these QSOs into a new DX4WIN8 file and name it something like your call
confirmed. Then import this file into your new empty log file while
choosing the Duplicate Will be Ignored option.
Go back to your saved big file, click on Filter and select Y for the Cnfm
Lotw field. This will select all QSOs that have been confirmed via LOTW.
Export this file to a DX4WIN8 file and name it something like your call
lotw. Import this file into your new log file while choosing the Duplicate
Will Be Ignored option.
Finally, go back to your big original file, unselect all filters, export to
a DX4WIN8 file that you name something like your call all. Import this file
into your new log file while choosing the Duplicate Will be Ignored option.
This should get all of your QSOs from your orginal save file to your new
file while saving your confirmed QSOs and deleting any duplicates. I am
assuming that you do not care about eQSL confirmations.
I hope others will verify my logic, but I am thinking that this will do the
trick. As long as you save your original file, you can always go back and
start over.
Takes a little work and you have to be careful with what you are doing --
but it provides an automated way to clean up over 60,000 Qs!
Good luck.
