Thanks, Dan.
Most of the information is harvested from various sources on the web,
including DX cluster spots. Much of this collection is automatic,
though some is not. The data are all merged together and run through
several of checking to make sure busted calls/managers don't make it
into the list. It even finds things like "V52UUU via DL7FD" (which is
really "V52UUO via DL7DF"). The managers I have the hardest time with
are when a DX station stops (or starts) using a manager, or when the
manager has changed and the station hasn't been active recently.
My QSL manager software has been in development since January 2004,
and I'm still working to improve it. Today I noticed a case when a
certain European on ROS Mode spots the stations he works, putting "via
<hismanager>" into the comment field. This causes my program to think
the stations he works are being managed by <hismanager>, but he really
means, send ME a QSL via <hismanager>. This created about a
half-dozen errors (out of over 50K good records), but most of them
were recent, so finding them was not quite a needle in a haystack. I
now notice this case and ignore the spots. It took less than a dozen
lines of code, and some sanity checking to make sure I didn't break
anything else.
Please send all corrections to me, and I will get them done.
