[Dx4win] Migrating to Win 7 from XP

Hi Jim...thanks for the reply. Well the directory location is different...on 
xp it was under program files and win 7 its under c:\ so it can not locate 
the log file. I am not sure where the path info is kept so it errors trying 
to find the log and won't even start up. I think I will try just copying the 
directory over from Xp to Win 7 and try that but if you do that instead of 
regular install aren't you bypassing the Win 7 registry process and will 
that cause other issues?

What kind of "issues"?

In the past, I have just copied the whole DX4W805 directory (including
subdirectories) from the old computer to the new computer.
Double-click on dx4win.exe and you're up and running.  This of course
assumes that the directory path to the DX4W805 directory is the same
on both machines, and DO NOT put it in \Program Files... on the Win 7
machine.
