[Dx4win] Win 7 and DX4Win

When I plug in the USB adapter, it does indeed show a com port. I also have a com port assigned to my Winkeyer SSB using it's internal FTDI device.
When I try to set up the ports for any logging program...N1CC, Dx4Win, Win-EQF all programs
seem to have somewhat similar results.
On DX4Win, Things are really strange though. I can click on a cluster spot and the frequency band shows up, but not the frequency itself.
I have looked at a lot of stuff on the net, but still no solid results.
Thanks for all the comments and advice guys!

Hi Kostas,
I have a new Dell 620 running Windows 7 running Home Premium 64 bit.
It has no RS-232 serial ports. I purchased a Vantec Adapter to go from the usb ports toa RS-232 cable to connect to the FT-1000 MP.
When i attempt to set a port for the radio on DX4Win I get an error message:

      Error
 ie_badid
Specified com port does not exist.

This occurs on every port I have tried up through 8.
I have looked on line and tried some suggestiond but none seem to work.
If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
 Thanks, Tom K5IID
