If this error is reported when you start DX4WIN, it's possible your
DX4WIN configuration file (DX4WIN.CFG) is corrupted. I hope you saved
the settings to a .INI file at some point in the recent past. If so,
you can delete the existing file and start DX4WIN, which will create a
new one. Then you can merge your preferences from the INI file.
Also possible it's the DX spots file, you can delete DX4WIN.PUT and
DX4WIN will create a new one.
