Thanks Roger,
I already back up to an in house 1 TB ext HD. Problem is IF (Heaven forbid)
the house burns down or my computer stuff is stolen the stuff on the in home
ext HD would be gone also.
I have no problem with an internet connection. I use COX Cable. It is very
reliable and is always online. I believe a good online backup provider would
have good enough security to prevent hacking. The company going out of
business (or being unreliable) is a possibility. I tried QUICKEN online
backup that comes with the Quicken program. When I filled up my basic
allotment of storage and attempted to buy more I ran into a brick wall with
their tech support in India. We went around and around and I finally told
them to cancel my account.
I responded to Theo directly that DROPBOX looks like a good way to go but is
expensive at $120 a year.
I am now looking at CARBONITE and MOZY mentioned on Jim, AD1C's, web pages.
I am also curious if anyone has any experience with SUGARSYNC offered by
Best Buy.

I'm skeptical about storing info on one of these online services.
1. It requires an internet connection
2. It's vulnerable to hackers
3. The company might go out of business
What is wrong with using a CD-ROM or thumbdrive?
