Has anyone worked with downloading their confirmed satellite QSOs from
LOTW?
After importing my confirmations, all my satellite QSOs show up in the
resulting 'not found' file and don't confirm the QSO in DX4Win. It
appears to me that this is because in DX4Win my satellite QSOs band is
set to SAT. But the QSO info from LOTW comes back with a band listed as
either 2m or 70cm, depending upon the satellite used.
For example I had a QSO on SO-50, 2m TX up and 70cm RX down. When DX4Win
dumps the ADIF file to send in to LOTW, it lists this QSO as "<MODE:2>FM
<SAT_NAME:5>SO-50 <PROP_MODE:3>SAT <BAND:2>2m
<BAND_RX:4>70cm", etc. But when importing the report back from LOTW,
DX4Win sees a miss match between <BAND:2>2m in the confirmed QSO report
and the BAND set as SAT in my QSO record in DX4Win. When viewing the
satellite QSO in the not found file via the drop down menu, it
highlights the band error in RED.
While DX4Win does send it, LOTW does not send back the <PROP_MODE:3>SAT
tag in the ADIF download file, so working with that isn't an option.
So far the only way that I have figured out how to confirm these
satellite QSOs in DX4WIN, is manually. Luckily, I had only a hand full
to confirm this time.
