Ciao Jim
Just downloaded and tested the new driver.
The 2nd VFO reading is understood by the equipment on the CI-V chain as a frequency reading and, as before, all the
equipment change the frequency during the reading and than go back to the main reading afterward.
Moreover, if you have the 2nd VFO active (Main/Sub switch), the radio goes back to the MAIN VFO after the reading.
This happens on my 7600.

JRA> Hi Folks,

JRA> There are new radio drivers (.RIG files) available for the ICOM
JRA> IC-7600 and IC-7700.  These drivers use the v1.10 and v1.20 radio
JRA> firmware (respectively), and can now tell when the radio is in "split"
JRA> mode (instead of transceive) and write the Rx= frequency to the "Notes
JRA> for this QSO" field automatically.  These radio files are ONLY for
JRA> DX4WIN 8.05 and later, because DX4WIN needed code changes to support
JRA> this new ICOM functionality.  The IC-7800 was already supported in the
JRA> DX4WIN 8.05 release.

JRA>    http://dx4win.ad1c.us/radios/

JRA> Make sure to go to QSO | Contest Mode and put "$$" in the "Text to add
JRA> to QSO note" field if you want the Rx= frequency recorded for split
JRA> frequency operation.  You do *not* need to check the "Contest Mode
JRA> Enabled" box.

JRA> You can download the latest ICOM firmware from here:

JRA> Note that the v1.10 firmware for the IC-7600 is not currently
JRA> available from the ICOM web site (the latest is 1.03).  If you need a
JRA> copy of v1.10, let me know.

JRA> Thanks to Guy ON4AOI for developing the .RIG files, Dick, K7VC for
JRA> testing the IC-7700 driver, and Jim, AD1C for testing the IC-7600
JRA> driver.
