[Dx4win] LOTW functions

Jorge,
DX4Win keeps track of which calls you have uploaded by date. You can set
the default for all QSOs to be uploaded, so they are flagged when you enter
them. Then you can clear that flag when they are uploaded (the program asks
you if you want to clear the flag). The next time you upload to LoTW, it
will start with the first QSO after the previous upload. It's not
completely automatic, but pretty close.

Well,
I think if the software do it by yourself in a safe manner, will be the
best. Once you configure it right, all will be 100% OK
I use 4 callsigns in my unique log, and with one click I can upload and
download all the information.
I don´t need to mark QSO´s to be uploaded. Swisslog know wich QSO´s never
were uploaded and did a track of all.
So if some logging software´s can do it, I don´t know why DX4WIN don´t.
I wanted to upgrade from Swisslog to a better software, so I did a search on
internet and found that DX4WIN is top ranked. So I think the best or one of
the best logging software must have it.

Jorge

Dear /mmx -
I think you missed the whole point. However, let me say that using LoTW is
no more complicated than keeping track of your online LL Bean orders once
you sit down and use it periodically. Using once a year is not the way to
approach it. I speak from experience.
I bet most issues can be traced back to the initial log entry point, if I
understand the premise.

Kostas, et al,
Very true. LoTW is coded to be about as user-hostile as possible.
The League has a full-time help desk (manned by at least one crabby S.O.B.)
dedicated exclusively to assisting people trying to unscramble confusing
LoTW instructions.

I had asked this in past.
Writelog has a feature like this.
It is under file>export>trusted file
You write how you want to save your file and after that with a magic way
writelog reads your certificates and makes a list. You choose the right one,
you give the password (which is saved for the previous time) and voila.
Sorry to say but i think the process as it is now is more confused and most
possible to drive us in a mistake...
