[Dx4win] yaesu rotor attachment question

I don't that will work either.  I use the RC1-Y from http://www.mds-ham.com/
With this unit you don't use the Yaesu control box at all so I sold old my
G-2800DXA control box.  It emulates the commands that Yaesu uses.  I use it
with Writelog, DX4WIN and MixW through an USB/Serial convertor.

some people are telling me to attach the g2800dxa rotor directly to the
computer serial port without any interface such as the idiompress unit.  I
don't think this will work, and I dont have a cable with a miniDIN  on 1
side and a DB-9 on the other. Is it correct in assuming that I must use an
interface such as the idiompress ?
