I had some errors like that this week (exception, divide by 0, etc.)

First, try rebooting (yes, that solved the problem in my case).

If that doesn't work, delete the SAVE\DX4WIN.PUT (packet spots) file.

Delete DX4WIN.CFG as a last restort.  I hope you have a DX4WIN.INI file 
from which you can restore your configuration.
