........... I am not sure what setting up the station band/mode preferences
does as it has no effect on the log entry selections....73 Mike K4PI

............Enabled bands/modes will be at the top of the list, disabled
bands/modes will be at the bottom. You can see this by using the
drop-down box to select the bands/modes, you'll see how they're
sorted.
..........So if you're adding a 17 meter QSO, then a 160 meter QSO, easiest
to
up-arrow to the correct band, rather than using the '1' key multiple
times. 73 - Jim AD1C
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is taken from the DX4WIN v8.02 Help:
"Disabled bands and modes will not be shown in the various summaries and
reports, and will not be considered when making submissions for awards or
flagging QSOs for which a label should be printed. The DX spotting colors
and audio alerts also make use of these settings....
When a band or a mode is disabled they can still be entered in a QSO...."

The sorting mentioned by Jim AD1C, also works (thanks for this, this is new
for me)
One remark - on my installation (v8.02) sorting starts only when I restart
the program.
Before restarting DX4WIN there is no sorting depending on the new disabled
and saved modes.

To go for 160 the shortest way is to push and keep up-arrow button, because
this is the top band in the Band field.

~36 modes in the updated version compare to 3 modes in the v.1.02. !
It was enough for 12 years of using the software, now have to think how to
manage all 36 :)
