It seems to me that DX4WIN should periodically warn you if it's in
"demo mode" and you have a modified log. If it's not going to save it
to disk, don't allow the user to enter anything without at least
mentioning that the data that you're entering won't be saved.

If that simple fix was made, it would be much less likely that entered
log data would be lost.
Just my humble opinion.
