Is anyone using LPT to key CW with a 2nd radio?
I'm using ver 7.04 with XP OS.
Rigs: Omni VI/Orion II
Com 3 for Omni (works) Does not switch off when selecting Orion
LPT1 for Orion (Nada) Still keys Omni VI when Orion is selected in DX4WIN
No other interface

Interface

Select the port used for the CW keying interface. Selecting None will
disable the interface, but audio keying is still available. Keying can be
accomplished by using a LPT (printer) port or a COM (serial) port.

LPT port:

The following lines are used on the DB25 male connector:

      Use
     Pin
     Remarks

      CW
     1
     CW Keying

      PTT
     16
PTT; only active when a PTT delay has been specified. When keying CW,
the line will become active, and the sending of CW will start after the
number of milliseconds specified has passed. As soon as the CW buffer is
empty, the line will become inactive again. The PTT line is also used by the
PSK31 interface for keying the transmitter.

      Radio2
     14
When a LPT port has been selected in the Radio 1/2 signal, this line is
active when the second radio is selected.

Radio 1/2 signal:

When a LPT port is selected, the Radio2 line will be active when the second
radio is selected, and inactive when the primary radio is selected. When
using the LPT port to control the DX Doubler 2-radio selection (LPT pin 14),
you must select that LPT port in the CW preferences page, even if you are
not using the LPT port to send CW. Otherwise the polarity of pin 14 will be
reversed.

LPT Pin 14 is this feature just for the DX Doubler??? Does XP OS have
anything to do with it not working properly?

I do not have LPT1 pin 14 connected to the Orion II

What else do I need or is another interface box needed?
